Software specifically relevant to the planned research fields

Most software packages (Octave, Sage, Maxima, etc.) and the most widely used programming languages (Python, C, C++) are freely available.
Among the proprietary software for which PhD students will have their own licence, the most important (in terms of use and diffusion) is Matlab.

Spaces and resources for PhD students and for scientific computing

Each PhD student will have a desk in an office reserved exclusively for PhD students, as well as a personal computer connected to the departmental network. Access to the computing centre is guaranteed, with priority given to the needs of PhD students.

Other

On campus, PhD students enjoy the same privileges as academic and technical-administrative staff. For example, they are allowed to enter the campus by car and to park inside the complex.
All offices reserved for PhD students are equipped with independent air conditioning.
